We’ve Upgraded! Welcome to the New Young Leaders Program Hub
A structured framework for developing student agency and leadership habits through five core building blocks.
Hello Educators,
I have some exciting news to share.
Over the last few months, I’ve been working behind the scenes to streamline how you access our student leadership materials.
If you’ve visited youngleadersprogram.com.au recently, you might have noticed things look a little different. We have officially moved the entire Young Leaders website over to Substack!
Don’t worry—the web address hasn’t changed. You can still find us at the exact same domain name (youngleadersprogram.com.au), but the engine under the hood is brand new.
Why the Change?
The old way of delivering resources via static blog feeds and scattered links wasn’t serving busy teachers.
I wanted to build a true, modern Educator Hub for Student Leadership—a one-stop resource designed to save you time and spark immediate ideas in your classroom.
When you land on our new homepage, you will find everything organised into distinct, easy-to-navigate pillars:
The Five Building Blocks: Direct access to practical strategies covering Organisation, Responsibility, Teamwork, Presentation Skills, and Emotional Intelligence.
Teacher Resources: Practical, classroom-ready insights to help you move students from just “wearing a badge” to “owning their outcomes.”
Term & Yearly Planners: Implementation guides to help you map out your leadership curriculum across the school year without the stress.
The Resource Store: A dedicated space where you can quickly find and download deeper program materials, activity packs, and guides.
Two Quick Favours Before You Explore:
Bookmark the New Site: Please hit
Ctrl+D(orCmd+Don Mac) and bookmark the new homepage so you always have our activities and planners just a single click away during your planning sessions.Pass It On: If you have colleagues, dynamic team leaders, or assistant principals who are trying to foster student agency in their own cohorts, please forward this email or share our new link with them.
Our mission remains exactly the same: providing you with the activities, ideas, and inspiration to build genuine leadership habits in young people.
We’ve just made the tools a whole lot easier to find.
Thank you for being part of this community, and I look forward to sharing our next round of term resources with you soon!
Warm regards,
Michael Grose
